The Legacy Lives on...

As some of you know and some who don't, I have been planning on making a book about Nena and Ben's life together and even before they met. In this process I have been gathering photos, letters, and recording some stories. My goal was to meet with all of the siblings Anita, Barbara, Vicki, Diana and Darrell to get first hand stories of personal experiences they had and remembered. This was about 6 years ago. I never seemed to find the time. This past year I thought about this blog. It would be a simple step, and less expensive, to gather stories and hear comments on what you know. I have found some old photos in my dad's storage area, and had gathered some photos when I visited Diana a few years ago. I am not aware of who is in some of the photos, some information I was only able to get by looking at the photo date or writings on the back of the photo.
I would love to keep this legacy going and gather as much information as possible. If you have any information to add to the photo, or even better, a story that goes with the photo I would be delighted!
I will post up a picture a day until I run out of pictures. I know I only have a small amount of what photos are out there. I am hoping that one of these days we can have all of the family photos posted and stories we can share with all of our future generations.

Also, If you happen to have some photos already scanned or documents already on your computer I would be more than happy to send a blank cd so I could add those to the blog and my collection for the book, which I will eventually make one of these days.

Baby Darrell

After raiding the family photos and scanning them onto my computer I no doubt ended up with mostly photos of my dad. These next few posts will be of him. Only because I have such a large amount of photos of him to share.
